I’ve always felt most confident in my writing when I’m part of a writing community. During my years at Vermont College of Fine Arts or most recently when I began taking workshops at Westport Writers’ Workshop, I’ve found and connected with a wonderful community of writers.  I’m so grateful to now be the Executive Director of WWW and to teach Introductory/Intermediate to Fiction as well as various Saturday and Zoom Seminars.

I always tell my writers that writing isn’t good or bad; it’s finished or unfinished. A writer is someone who writes. By giving yourself a weekly deadline to write or share work, you will be begin create stories, essays, or poems, or you’ll be able to finally finish that novel manuscript. The Workshop is also a great place to gather with like-minded people and talk about the joys and struggles of the writing life.
